While shopping, every customer has been asked the same question over and over again by cashiers when they go to checkout – “Would you want to sign up for our loyalty card?”

But in the most rehearsed way possible, most of the customers instantly decline the offer. Why? Because they don’t want to waste their time on the checkout counter to enter their personal information that they think would only be used to send spam and unnecessary offers.

According to a recent report, a regular American household has an average 22 loyalty cards. Then, why are you refraining from them? Reward loyalty programs mean more benefits and better discounts. From free coffee to free beauty samples and gift vouchers, retail brands today are ready to give whatever it takes to lure in customers and you should be taking advantage of that.

Reward Card

Here are some most rewarding loyalty programs by top retailers-

Starbucks
Starbucks is the premiere coffee retail chain that has spread across the world. It’s known for its quick and absolutely customizable coffee. They also serve desserts and cookies for you to snack on.

How it works:
Get a Starbucks card from a store free of charge and register it online or through Starbucks mobile app to start getting rewarded. Every time you buy something at Starbucks, use your My Starbucks Rewards card.

To earn points or ‘stars’, as Starbucks likes to call it, you need to either buy directly from a Starbucks chain, buy a Starbucks marked product from your grocery store or buy tea or coffee products online from their website.

There are three levels of rewards available with each level giving more benefits than the other. The initial one is the ‘Welcome’ level where you get a free drink and an extra 15% discount on all purchases on your birthday. After you collect 5 or more stars in 12 months, you move to ‘Green’ level where apart from the Welcome level benefits, you get free in-store refills. Finally, it’s the ‘Gold’ level which a customer reaches when they gain more than 30 stars in a year and through that they get a free food or drink item for every 12 stars earned.

Why join
If you are a Starbucks fan and you go there often, you should definitely get this card because in just five visits you get promoted to the Green level, which means unlimited refills!

Target
