You can simultaneously perform image/video recording in this device. Other options include: Geo-tagging, Touch Focus, Face Detection, HDR photo, HDR panorama, Loudspeakers, 3.5mm Jack and a Non-removable Li-Po battery. The iPhone 6 may be available in 3 colors, White/Silver, Space Gray and Gold. There is not much information about its battery life and price though. We can expect a similar price point as the iPhone 5s. It could also be $50 to $100 higher due to its large screen size.

With the popularity of big smartphones with their large screen sizes, there have been calls for Apple to launch a bigger iPhone. The company has been experimenting with a lot of screen sizes, in order to compete with Windows and Android phones that have all adopted larger displays. The iPhone 6 will have increased resolutions owing to its larger display in both variants. The 4.6-inch screen and the 5.5-inch screen will possibly have a pixel-tripled display of 1704×960 resolutions with the same Low Temperature Poly Silicon technology. The screen will also feature a sapphire crystal display with an oleophobic and water-resistant coating.

The design of iPhone 6 may have a curved display or will continue to have a flat screen much like its predecessor the iPhone 5s. Apple will definitely design a lighter and thinner iPhone 6 owing to advancements in LED backlighting. The company has shifted to a thinner 0.4mm LED backlight model, giving users more room to work with. The increase in the phone’s size will also give additional room to spread out components. This allows the company to reduce the thickness of the device, which may even be as thin as the iPod touch. The iPhone 6 may also add additional features like temperature, pressure and humidity sensors. The smartphone may also adopt a thinner chassis, slimmer bezels and redesigned pill-shaped volume buttons. The phone may also display a relocated sleep/wake button, which will be moved to the right side of the device for easy access with just one hand.

The iPhone 6 will include standard applications like iMessage, iBooks, iCloud, iWatch, etc. Other features also include AirDrop file sharing, Active noise cancellation with a dedicated microphone, Siri natural language commands and dictation, Twitter and Facebook integration, Maps, TV-out, PDF reader, Organizer, Audio/video player/editor, Document viewer/editor, Image viewer/editor, Predictive text input, Voice memo/dial/command, etc. It is rumoured to integrate a new chip from Broadcom, which will enable faster Wi-Fi connectivity with improved range and performance in congested environments. This increases coverage by upto 30% and improved power efficiency. It will also include a 2×2 Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO), which will enable the phone to obtain the best signal by choosing between several antennas for sending and receiving data.

The one question on everyone’s mind is why the 5.5-inch iPhone expected to arrive later than the 4.7-inch model? That’s because the ‘phablet’ requires a super-thin battery, which is causing some headaches for Apple to get right. This has led to new rumours that the 5.5-inch iPhone will be called the ‘iPhone Air’, since it is an exceptionally thin device. Some even say that the company will be forced to delay its launch until 2015.
